Cheryl A. Jones Cumbee, D. Min., a pastoral psychotherapist, trained in theology and psychology, has a clear vision of Faith Counseling Center's mission “to assist all persons to find and maintain wholeness of spirit, mind and body.” Dr. Cumbee, an ordained United Methodist minister, American Association of Pastoral Counselors Fellow, Arizona State Licensed Professional Counselor, and trained Labyrinth Facilitator, has been a professional ally and guide since 1977 to persons seeking healing for a variety of life's stressors.
Dr. Cumbee is the founding Executive Director of Faith Counseling Center which opened doors as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit Samaritan Institute counseling center in 2000. Practicing pastoral psychotherapy in Scottsdale since 1986, Dr. Cumbee weaves her gifts as storyteller, storylistener and musician into the art of counseling, teaching, leading and enabling others to journey on the path to healing.
Cheryl and her husband Dwight, an ordained UCC minister and pastoral psychotherapist, reside in North Scottsdale.
